PrimaLac®*
is a direct fed microbial that survives pelleting. This direct
fed microbial contains Lactobacillus acidophilus, L. casei,
Enterococcus faecium, and Bifidobacterium thermophilum.

This direct fed microbial
inhibits pathogen growth in the gastrointestinal tract by
attaching to the gut wall and crowding out the pathogenic
bacteria (competitive exclusion).

Direct fed microbials have a
positive effect on lengthening mucosal villa heights thus
increasing nutrient absorption.

Direct fed microbials have a
positive effect on digestive enzyme activity.

Direct fed microbials have a

CitriStim® is a proprietary
feed ingredient manufactured by ADM using a controlled
fermentation process. CitriStim is a Candida yeast product that
provides a source of mannan oligosaccharides (MOS) and beta

MOS can have a beneficial impact on animal growth and health
by binding pathogenic gut bacteria.

Studies by Salit and Gotschlich
(1977) demonstrated that yeast mannans have the ability to
interfere with E. coli binding in the gastrointestinal

limited to E. coli. Salmonella, Klebsiella, and Clostridium
organisms are known to be susceptible to MOS binding.

Once pathogenic bacteria are
bound to yeast mannans, they are carried out of the
