Co-products that provide
alternative sources of protein

Archer Daniels Midland Company is a leading processor of grains and oilseeds in the United States. From this processing comes a wide variety of co-products that provide alternative sources of protein, energy, fiber, carbohydrates, minerals, and vitamins for feeding to livestock.

One of our goals at ADM Alliance Nutrition, through extensive research and practical application, is to add value to these co-products – value for our customers, livestock producers. Many co-products are currently utilized in ADM Alliance Nutrition products and are also used by our customers as commodities in livestock rations.

Co-products utilized in ADM Alliance Nutrition’s product lines are research tested. Before a co-product is used in an ADM Alliance Nutrition product, it must demonstrate a product performance advantage and not contribute to a price increase in the finished product. Sometimes the inclusion of a co-product has actually decreased finished product cost.

ADM Alliance Nutrition also continues to evaluate the use of co-products, such as distillers grain, corn gluten feed, condensed fermented corn extractives, and others, in livestock diets on an on-going basis. At ADM Alliance Nutrition, we strive through our research and knowledge base to be your “Experts in Co-Product Feeding.”
