RumeNext-D is patent-pending technology resulting from a five-year worldwide research program studying the effects of selected plant extracts on rumen function and subsequent milk production by dairy cows.

The screening of more than fifty plant extracts and their active substances followed by
extensive lactation trials in North America and Europe demonstrated the consistent benefits for the RumeNext-D formulation.

A key feature of the product is its manufacture by a unique ISO-FUSION™* process in which a standardized combination of plant extracts are micro-encapsulated in a protective matrix.  This enhances stability and ensures good palatability in dairy rations.

Production to the Next Level

Research has shown RumeNext-D acts by altering VFA profile toward lower acetate and greater propionate and butyrate levels and by reducing rumen ammonia nitrogen levels.  These changes lead to improved nutrient supply to the cow and subsequent improvements in lactation performance.

RumeNext-D improves efficiency of milk production by improving milk yield and fat corrected milk yield.  Feeding RumeNext-D increased milk yield by an average of 3.3 lb/day compared to the control ration in more than a dozen studies conducted across North America and Europe (figure below)

 

RumeNext-D increases fat corrected milk yield by improving milk fat percentage while maintaining or sometimes increasing the total volume of milk produced.  RumeNext-D often reduces MUN levels while having minimal effects on milk protein content.

Feeding Methods
RumeNext-D is suitable for adding to a wide variety of rations.  Because of its high degree of stability, it is ideal for supplements and complete feeds.  It is equally successful when added at the farm to total mixed rations or as a top-dress supplement.  The recommended feeding rate is 1 to 2 oz/cow/day depending on the type of diet and feed additives already present.
